Liverpool lead 2-0 at halftime, 3-3 on aggregate, but Liverpool still need one more. Come on you Reds!

**ESPN2 coverage just starting here, maybe some random check-ins now and again, but I’m passing it off to the Champions League Offside. Come on you Reds!

**Interesting stat I saw yesterday on Sky Sports–Liverpool are 4-2-0 without Steven Gerrard this year. Not 100%, but no losses. Obviously today demands quite an effort, but hopefully losing Gerrard won’t be the dealbreaker.

**Awfully surprising stuff emerging for Liverpool in the hour before kickoff…Steven Gerrard ruled out completely, not even in the 18. Lucas in the starting eleven ahead of Riera and Babel–looks like Rafa will be relying on the forwards only for attack, as the midfield is comprised of the defensive-minded trio of Xabi Alonso, Javier Mascherano, and the aforementioned Lucas. Fernando Torres will be flanked by Dirk Kuyt on the right and Yossi Benayoun on the left. There’s no way into the squad for Daniel Agger…and I have to say that I’m disappointed. It’s no secret that Chelsea dominated in midfield last Wednesday, and I think that Agger could have been one to break things up with his forward movement. Hopefully the surprises keep on coming today…
